Visualization can be an effective tool for weight loss because it helps to change one’s mindset and reinforces positive thoughts and behaviors.

Hitting menopause, I realized that I could no longer just eat anything I wanted.

When I hit 72 kg, which was 24 pounds over my ideal weight, I saw with my own eyes that I had to change.

One study published in the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine found that participants who visualized eating healthier foods and engaging in physical activity experienced a significant decrease in body weight compared to those who did not use visualization.

Another study published in the Journal of Obesity found that visualization combined with other weight loss strategies, such as calorie counting and exercise, resulted in greater weight loss compared to those who used only traditional weight loss methods.

These findings suggest that visualization can be a valuable addition to a weight loss program and can help to enhance the effectiveness of other weight loss strategies.

However, it is important to note that visualization should not be used as a sole method for weight loss and should be combined with a healthy diet and regular exercise.

Use the power of your subconscious mind to support you!
  • Find a quiet and comfortable place where you won’t be disturbed.
  • Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths to help you relax.
  • Visualize yourself in a healthy and fit body. See yourself as you would like to look, with a toned body, clear skin, and bright eyes.
  • Imagine yourself eating nutritious and satisfying meals, enjoying physical activity, and feeling confident and proud of your progress.
  • See yourself reaching your weight loss goals, and feel the sense of pride, accomplishment, and happiness that comes with it.
  • Hold onto this visualization for a few minutes, allowing yourself to fully immerse and feel yourself in the experience.
  • When you are ready, slowly open your eyes and take a few deep breaths to bring yourself back to the present moment.
  • Repeat this visualization regularly, especially when you feel discouraged or unmotivated, to help you stay focused on your weight loss goals.

It took a whole year of visualization and dedication to lose a whopping 24 pounds!
